These resources aren't just tools—they're game changers (literally!).\r\n\r\nThe excitement was instant and infectious. When we first opened the phonics games, the room buzzed with energy. \"Can we play now?\" was the chorus we heard over and over. Many of our students couldn't believe that these bright, colorful games were part of their learning. For some of them, this was the first time reading felt like fun.\r\n\r\nWe've integrated the games into our daily literacy stations, small group instruction, and even used them as brain breaks that sneak in extra phonics practice. One recent project involved students creating their own \"Word Detective\" notebooks. They used the games to hunt for letter patterns, build words, and record their findings like real language explorers. One student proudly said, \"I didn't know I could read so many words!\"\r\n\r\nWhat's next for our young readers?\r\nAs we move forward, our class is beginning a \"Build-a-Book\" project where students will write and illustrate their own short stories using the words and sounds they've mastered through these games. It's a beautiful next step—combining their growing confidence in decoding words with their natural creativity and storytelling skills.\r\n\r\nYour donation gave our students more than just supplies. You gave them joy, confidence, and the foundation for lifelong literacy.\r\n\r\nThank you for making a real impact in our classroom. You got a peek into our world by contributing to this project, and we hope this letter helps you feel just how much you're a part of our learning.","fullyFundedDate":1748103479297,"projectUrl":"project/help-me-motivate-my-learners-with-these/9093342/","projectTitle":"Help Me Motivate My Learners With These Fun Phonics Games!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Celis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9840836_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1738463629285","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9840836"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_23533","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":676,"numTeachers":47,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":51,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":46,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"14.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":62.5,"schoolId":23533,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Roosevelt Children's Academy Charter - Elementary on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Roosevelt Children's Academy Charter - Elementary","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-state-department-education/roosevelt-children-s-academy-cs/23533"}
