They can act out different scenarios and have some control over what happens. They have even been pretending the sandwich shop is subway so they are making real world connections.\r\n\r\nThe construct-a-letter is giving the students hands on tactile experiences and they are so very proud when they construct a letter off of the letter card. They have loved opening all of the items and play with them daily. They wanted to play with everything immediately. We are very grateful that you chose to support our classroom.\r\n\r\nThe bubble fish lamp is in the calming center and the children use it daily. They have even named the fish inside of it. The tracing light box helps use get in tactile experiences with letters and their sounds. The blocks allow my students to create awesome structures and also help them learn colors and shapes because the blocks have see through windows on them. The rolling cart allows the children to move the play do and slime to where ever they are sitting at. It is great storage and the children love pushing it around and allowing all of their friends to have a chance to play with play do. The day that we received the materials is when we opened it in the classroom. They especially loved the David books and Dinosaur books. This allowed them to correlate the rules that we have in the classroom with rules that are in the book.\r\n\r\nAt this age providing a print rich environment is essential to their early learning. Library center is a free choice that they can go to during center time. After adding these books to the library center I have seen more students choose to go there.\r\n\r\nWe will be learning about colors and our families over the next month. These books will help to build that correlation to colors in the book and colors that we see in our classroom.
