The healthy snacks you provided have made a meaningful difference in our daily routine and overall classroom environment.\r\nIn a first grade classroom, it doesn't take much for hunger to become a distraction. Many of my students come to school needing a little extra support to stay energized throughout the day. Thanks to you, I am able to offer nutritious snacks that help keep their minds alert and their bodies fueled.\r\nSince receiving these snacks, I've noticed a positive change in my students. They are more focused during lessons, more engaged in activities, and better able to manage their emotions. Something as simple as a snack has helped reduce disruptions and created a more calm and productive learning environment.\r\nBeyond academics, your support has also shown my students that they are cared for. It means so much to them to know that people they've never met believe in them and want them to succeed. That feeling of being supported builds confidence and a sense of belonging in our classroom.\r\nYour kindness is not just feeding their bodies—it is helping fuel their learning, growth, and happiness each day.\r\nThank you for making a lasting impact on my students' lives. Whether they are designing structures, solving problems together, or exploring basic engineering concepts, they are learning skills that will stay with them for years to come.\r\nOne of the most powerful changes I've seen is in their confidence. Students who were once hesitant are now raising their hands, sharing ideas, and taking risks in their learning. They are working together, asking questions, and celebrating each other's successes.\r\nThese STEM materials are more than just tools—they are opening doors. Our class has been actively seeking funding to \"assist us in creating\" an outdoor space that is not only visually aesthetic, but also conducive to learning. We are in the preliminary stages of this project as we are currently in the non-growing season. \r\n However, we have been able to work with a landscape design artist to come up with some plans to help us turn our vision into reality. We have been purchasing raised beds, landscaping materials, and other associated supplies to begin working on this project as soon as the weather warms up. The students have been very excited to see all of the materials arriving at our school. We hope to assemble many of our raised beds and begin planting seedlings, bulbs, and tubers as soon as the weather permits. We have been discussing the life cycle of plants in our science class, and students are eager to put what they have learned to good use. \r\n We have also been discussing animals such as frogs, butterflies, and bees, and how they can play a vital role in an outdoor classroom. We have also printed fidget spinners for many of the autistic students in our class and school. The students keep the printer running non-stop and are so excited when they get to take a model home and keep it. Without generous donors such as Young Sheldon and our gracious anonymous donor for this project, these STEM-based activities would not be available for my students. \r\n\r\nEveryone in our school has seen how neat our printers are, and now they also want to print models. We hope to print more models for our special needs students as well as our general education students as they learn how to use the printers for themselves. We have used the place-value manipulatives extensively in both whole- and small-group instruction, and we began discussing fractions yesterday. We will also be using all of the fraction materials in the next month or so. With the addition of an ice maker, students now have quick access to one of the most commonly needed treatments for injuries, swelling, and fevers. Beyond immediate care, they also gain a hands-on understanding of how cold therapy works and how the body responds to temperature changes—bringing science and health to life in a practical way. Similarly, the secure storage cabinet has created a more organized and efficient space, ensuring that medications and supplies are safely stored while also modeling the importance of design, planning, and problem-solving.\r\n\r\nStudents who require daily medical support have also experienced tremendous benefits. The availability of glucose strips allows those managing diabetes to monitor their blood sugar levels safely and consistently, reinforcing lessons in biology and physiology while giving them confidence in their own care. Flushable wipes have improved hygiene and comfort, particularly for younger students and those with special needs, helping them maintain dignity in difficult moments.
