You sent me glue sticks, a big box of colored pencils, loads of high lighters and new expo markers.\r\n\r\nThese items are disposable so I need to restock for the end of this year and the beginning of next year. Every day, the students need Expo markers to work in groups on the whiteboards, highlighters to take great notes during the lesson, and glue sticks to glue papers into their journals. This list of supplies is a huge help my classroom and my students to be successful.\r\n\r\nWithout these supplies, it is sometimes hard to motivate the students. The students were so excited to see the new supplies and treated them well so that we can save some for next year too!.\r\n\r\nThey are more inclined to take good notes and complete their work as teams if they are working in groups at the whiteboard.\r\n\r\nThank you for restocking my classroom!!","fullyFundedDate":1742655031534,"projectUrl":"project/math-classroom-supplies/9184341/","projectTitle":"Math Classroom Supplies!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Myers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp594377_orig.jpg?crop=2103,2103,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724869193765","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/594377"},{"teacherId":9840187,"projectId":8948494,"letterContent":"Since receiving the materials, I feel that \"Fine Motor Friday\" learning days have taken a new life and has made the day even more enjoyable for all of my students. The materials have opened up more opportunities for the students to express their creativity and improve their skills during social interactions with both peers & teachers.\r\n\r\nThe students have really come to enjoy not just the sensory items but the ability to work with their hands on different activities that your wonderful donation brought to the classroom. When I first presented the materials, their faces lit up with excitement that some new things would be available to them during math. Ring toss was a big hit on the first day, with many students coming to play immediately. The other very successful item on that first day were the sensory chew necklaces, which are still being used today by a handful of the kiddos! \r\n\r\nTo this day, I have one student who is always wanting to get the lacing beads up to make \"jewelry\" to take home for her mom to wear. Also used on a daily basis are the 0-20 number lines, which are located on every student work desk within the classroom (and I still have more available from what was provided). The quality of that product seems to be very good as the original ones I put out are still on the desk (students do sometimes pick at them on the desk).\r\n\r\nYour donation has yielded such positive results already and I have no doubt it will continue to serve the students in my classroom, not just this year but for years to come. Thank you once again for your support. Generosity is never forgotten and I will never forget the moment when you choose to give back to your community.","fullyFundedDate":1736131863716,"projectUrl":"project/fine-motor-math-learning-days/8948494/","projectTitle":"Fine Motor Math Learning Days!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Corey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9840187"},{"teacherId":9638230,"projectId":8600104,"letterContent":"The amount of engagement this project has encouraged in my classroom is unbelievable. At this point, I cannot imagine teaching without these whiteboards! These music staff whiteboards allow music theory to be more interactive, it gives every kid a chance to answer, and it allows for instant feedback. When I say I use these whiteboards in EVERY single class every day, I'm serious!!!! (5 classes with 220 kids total) We do music theory work every day and the whiteboards are a must now! \r\n\r\nIt's also allowed for text interpretation to shine in my room. When analyzing our lyrics in our music, I'll have students draw what the words mean to them. Having them express their ideas in a new way has been eye-opening with how they perform the text. \r\n\r\nLastly, the impact on my kiddos with disabilities is life changing. I am able to see these kids interact with music in a way that's approachable for them and meets their needs. Some of these kids struggle to communicate, and whiteboards has allowed them to share their thoughts and ideas.\r\n\r\nI cannot express enough how much this donation has meant to the choir department at Rocky Top Middle School. Thank you so much for your generosity and investment into music education! You have 100% changed the way music is affecting these young kids' lives!!!","fullyFundedDate":1731185366816,"projectUrl":"project/music-staff-whiteboards/8600104/","projectTitle":"Music Staff Whiteboards","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Holzapfel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9638230"},{"teacherId":9231129,"projectId":8565577,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your funding! With it, I was able to make table sets including a bucket with a lid, a whiteboard, an eraser, and expo markers for each student. This really helps when doing collaborative work where they can all express their ideas and share safely at their tables. Whiteboards make your answer seem less permanent and make students more willing to take risks and give their best guesses. This increases participation classwide! They love working in collaborative groups and love using whiteboards and expo markers. \r\n\r\nThe cell phone holder is a great management tool. It allows me to safely store students' phones if they become a distraction or during state testing. We will use it a ton during standardized test time.","fullyFundedDate":1727462637276,"projectUrl":"project/8th-grade-science-stem-projects/8565577/","projectTitle":"8th Grade Science - STEM Projects!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Holmes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9231129"},{"teacherId":9230505,"projectId":8575387,"letterContent":"I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for providing us with laptops as a resource for lesson planning. This incredible tool has revolutionized the way I design and organize lessons, making my work not only more efficient but also far more effective. With access to a range of digital tools and platforms, I can now create engaging, interactive, and visually compelling lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of my students. The ability to adapt and update my plans quickly has been a game-changer, ensuring my teaching remains dynamic and responsive to changing classroom dynamics.\r\n\r\nThe laptop has also opened up a world of online resources that have enriched my lessons in ways I could not have imagined. From educational articles and multimedia content to collaborative tools that connect me with fellow educators, this resource has broadened my perspective and enhanced the quality of my teaching materials. Incorporating videos, animations, and other digital elements has made abstract concepts more accessible and lessons more engaging for my students, fostering a deeper connection to the material.\r\n\r\nBeyond lesson creation, the laptop has transformed how I manage my time and stay organized. Digital tools like calendars and scheduling apps have helped me balance the demands of teaching, grading, and planning more effectively. Having all my resources in one place ensures that I can focus on delivering impactful lessons and addressing my students' unique needs without unnecessary stress.
