The wobble stools and adjustable chair are being used during small-group instruction, independent reading, and collaborative work time. One standout moment was during a brainstorming session using the sticky easel pads—students rotated through stations, sitting on the wobble stools, adding ideas and building off one another's thinking. Students who typically struggle to stay focused were able to remain engaged for longer periods because they could move while they worked.\r\n\r\nThe excitement was immediate. Students were eager to try out the wobble stools and loved choosing a color that fit their personality. Several students commented on how comfortable the seating felt and how it helped them \"wiggle without getting in trouble.\" When they saw the chart paper and laminator, they were excited to help create our classroom expectations together, which gave them a sense of ownership and pride in their learning space.\r\n\r\n\r\nNext, students will be using the sticky easel pads and laminated materials to support an ongoing collaborative learning project. We are creating anchor charts, discussion prompts, and visual supports that students can reference independently or in groups. The laminator and pouches allow us to preserve student-created work and work space so it can be reused throughout the year, reinforcing key skills and concepts. The flexible seating will continue to support differentiated learning by giving students options that best meet their focus and sensory needs.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our classroom is now a more flexible, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. These materials are not just supplies—they are tools that help students feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn every day. Thank you for giving our students a classroom where movement, collaboration, and creativity are encouraged.","fullyFundedDate":1752767813797,"projectUrl":"project/for-the-first-time-in-first-grademspr/9435967/","projectTitle":"For The First Time In First Grade….Ms.Price","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Price","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10065055_orig.jpg?crop=768,768,x0,y128&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750983908016","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10065055"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_64742","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":588,"numTeachers":50,"percentFrplEligible":54,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":21,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":52,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"11.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":62.3,"schoolId":64742,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rock View Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rock View Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/maryland/montgomery-county-public-schools/rockview-elementary-school/64742"}
