We are so excited and grateful to have our project, \"[Your Project Title Here],\" fully funded. Your support will make a tangible and immediate difference for our student-athletes.\r\n\r\nWe are especially thrilled about the 7'x7' baseball and softball practice net! This complete set, with its tee and strike zone, is a game-changer for our team. It will allow our players to safely and effectively drill their hitting and pitching fundamentals, building the skill and confidence they need to succeed on the field.\r\n\r\nYour donation also provides the essential fuel and care our players need to perform at their best. The snacks you've funded—from the Keebler crackers and Skittles to the lollipops and mints—are more than just treats. They are vital energy boosts that will power our students through long, demanding practices after a full day of classes. Finally, the simple addition of Kleenex tissues will be a lifesaver during spring allergy season, helping keep our athletes healthy and in the game.\r\n\r\nMore than just the items, your support sends a powerful message to our students: that their hard work, health, and dedication are valued by a wider community.","fullyFundedDate":1762270336040,"projectUrl":"project/practice-gear-and-energy-boosts-for-our/9707964/","projectTitle":"Practice Gear and Energy Boosts for Our Student-Athletes","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jacobs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10256247"},{"teacherId":9775484,"projectId":8817604,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our sensory room project! Your support has made a significant difference in the lives of our students, and I'm excited to share how these new resources are being utilized. I have uploaded photos of students in the sensory room to showcase how the items received have positively contributed to their experiences!\r\n\r\nHow We're Using the New Resources:\r\nThe sensory room items have become invaluable tools in the office. Since receiving these resources, several students have needed moments to decompress. The room's atmosphere and the available tools allow them to take a few minutes to emotionally regulate. During these moments, they have engaged with various sensory items, such as the calm ball and calming books. One notable instance involved a student who often struggles with anxiety and has presented challenges in finding effective ways to support them. This student utilized the sensory room to create a calming space, which allowed them to take a short break, gather their thoughts, and rejoin the class feeling more focused and ready to participate.\r\n\r\nStudent Reactions:\r\nWhen students first encountered the new materials and furniture, their reactions were filled with excitement and curiosity. Many of them immediately gravitated toward the sensory items, eager to explore how these tools could help them. Seeing their faces light up as they discovered the resources and calming tools was truly heartwarming. It was clear that these items provided a sense of joy and relief, especially for those who often feel overwhelmed in a traditional classroom setting.\r\n\r\nNext Steps:\r\nAs the integration of these sensory tools continues within my office, the next steps will focus on enhancing social-emotional learning for any students struggling, particularly in today's environment. I plan to encourage regular \"sensory breaks\" for students, especially those with specific diagnoses, IEPs, or 504 plans indicating that such breaks would be beneficial. These sensory rooms have become essential spaces where students can select specific items to help them refocus and recharge. In addition, I will incorporate discussions around how these tools can aid in managing stress and emotions, fostering a deeper understanding of self-regulation, and educating students on coping skills that further support their well-being while minimizing disruptions to their own and others' educational experiences.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has provided us with essential resources and created an environment where students feel safe and supported. We look forward to sharing more about the positive impact these items have on our students' learning and well-being.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generosity!","fullyFundedDate":1735609834074,"projectUrl":"project/creating-calm-safe-space-for-student-m/8817604/","projectTitle":"Creating Calm & Safe Space for Student Mental Health","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lawrenz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9775484_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727135188449","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/nurselawrenzoffice"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29417","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":778,"numTeachers":51,"percentFrplEligible":62,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":53,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":40,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":52.9,"schoolId":29417,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rochelle Township High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rochelle Township High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/rochelle-township-high-school-district-212/rochelle-twp-high-school/29417"}
