We turned unpacking and setting them up into a class project, and every student had a role—whether it was unwrapping the shelves, deciding where they should go, or helping to organize books. We sorted our classroom library by theme, which helps my students connect more easily with stories that match their emotions, interests, or experiences. Themes like friendship, bravery, and working through challenges are especially meaningful in our class. One student said, \"Now I can find the perfect book when I feel happy or when I feel worried.\"\r\n\r\nSince then, the shelves have become a favorite part of our learning environment. Because they are mobile, we can bring the books to different areas of the classroom depending on the activity—whether it's calm reading time in the quiet corner, paired reading during centers, or group discussions during our morning meeting. The accessibility and visibility of the books encourage independence, which is something we're always working toward. Students now take more initiative in choosing their own reading materials and even recommend books to one another based on the themes they enjoy.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're beginning new units on storytelling and caring for books. We're using our themed book sections to help students explore how characters face problems, express feelings, and solve conflicts—important skills both in reading and in real life. Your support has created a more inclusive, structured, and engaging space for my students to learn, grow, and express themselves.
