The class was buzzing with excitement when they noticed the first new carpet on the floor in the front of the room. Then they were absolutely delighted when they spied the bumblebee carpet in the meeting area! It was truly a memorable moment! Many of them squealed with excitement! Thank you for your part in bringing so much joy to our learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe carpet areas are used multiple times every day. When we meet to do a read aloud, do a mini writing lesson, or hold a class meeting, half of the class sits on the carpet and the other half sits on the benches enclosing the carpet area. Prior to the carpets arriving, the benches were the coveted spots. Now the carpet seating area is the desired place to sit. The front carpet is also a favorite spot to sit or lay while working independently or with a small group. Having two nice carpet areas allows kids to spread around the room and have the freedom to work in a manner that is more suitable to their learning style. \r\n\r\nThe clipboards and plastic sleeves have also been extremely helpful! Each student has their own colorful clipboard to use when needed. This is so helpful as it makes it quick and easy to get started. All of the items were immediately put to good use and have been very much appreciated by myself and all of the students.\r\nThank you for your generous contribution to our class!","fullyFundedDate":1757423276342,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-learning-opportunities/9607345/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating Learning Opportunities","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Plough","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7060085"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_35596","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":416,"numTeachers":26,"percentFrplEligible":56,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":72,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":14,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":83.3,"schoolId":35596,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Robert Gray Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Robert Gray Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/longview-school-district-122/robert-gray-elementary-school/35596"}
