Your contribution has made a tremendous difference—not just in terms of physical resources, but in the emotional and academic environment we've been able to create for our students. The impact is felt every single day.\r\n\r\nOne of the most noticeable changes has been in how my students engage with reading. Thanks to the cozy floor pillows you helped us acquire, students now look forward to reading time. They enjoy finding a comfortable spot in the room to immerse themselves in books and short stories. This seemingly small change has sparked a genuine interest in literacy and created a relaxed, inviting atmosphere that supports learning and concentration. It has transformed our reading time into something students truly enjoy, rather than something they feel obligated to do.\r\n\r\nThe pillows have also served another beautiful purpose—they helped us establish a self-regulation corner. This is a safe, quiet space where students can go when they feel overwhelmed, anxious, or upset. As a classroom filled with diverse learners, including many students with special needs, having a space where they can calm down and feel secure is invaluable. It has promoted emotional regulation and independence, helping students learn to identify and manage their feelings in a healthy way.\r\n\r\nAnother essential addition has been the headphones. These have been an incredible asset, especially for my special education students who benefit greatly from differentiated instruction. With the headphones, students can listen to audiobooks and assignment-related videos without distractions. This not only supports their learning styles but also gives them autonomy and confidence in completing their work. The ability to engage with materials in a format that works best for them has had a direct impact on their academic performance and self-esteem.\r\n\r\nThe fidget tools have also played a key role in creating a more supportive and responsive classroom. As teenagers, my students often experience intense emotions and high levels of stress. The fidgets offer them a quiet, non-disruptive way to self-soothe and stay focused during lessons. Beyond emotional regulation, they've also become a fun incentive—students know that when they meet classroom goals or display positive behavior, they can earn access to fidgets. This has helped promote a more positive and respectful classroom culture.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, we've seen an improvement in literacy engagement and overall student well-being. Our classroom is more inclusive, more focused, and more joyful. It has become a space where students feel safe to be themselves, to grow, and to succeed. I truly cannot thank you enough for the impact you've had—not just on our classroom, but on each individual student who walks through our door. Thanks again.","fullyFundedDate":1738361689442,"projectUrl":"project/resources-to-increase-effective-reading/8848203/","projectTitle":"Resources to Increase Effective Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Clara","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9435077"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_125711","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":16,"percentIndigenous":4,"percentLatinx":55,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":28.6,"schoolId":125711,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Robert F.
