Because of your generosity, our exceptional students now have three new rolling desk chairs that have already made a meaningful difference in their learning experience.\r\n\r\nThe moment the chairs arrived, my students were thrilled. One student immediately asked, \"Are these seriously for us?\"—and when I said yes, their face lit up with joy. All of my students have sensory needs and benefit greatly from movement throughout the day. These rolling chairs allow them to meet those needs in a functional, non-disruptive way while staying engaged in lessons.\r\n\r\nOne especially powerful moment came during a writing activity last week. A student who typically struggles to remain seated for extended periods was able to stay focused and complete her entire writing assignment without needing multiple movement breaks. She gently rolled side to side while thinking and beamed with pride when she finished her story. It may seem like a small shift, but for her—and for our classroom—it was a huge win.\r\n\r\nThese chairs are used daily during independent work time and small group instruction. They've become a coveted tool among my students.\r\n\r\nCurrently, we're working on a collaborative research project about animals and their habitats. The rolling chairs have helped create a more relaxed, responsive environment for students as they work in small groups to explore books, use tablets for research, and draft their findings. The ability to move while learning has removed a barrier for several of my students, and it's been amazing to see their confidence grow.\r\n\r\nThanks to your kindness, we're not just meeting academic goals—we're nurturing student agency, comfort, and inclusion. Your support made a real difference, and I hope this gives you a small but meaningful glimpse into the joy you've brought to our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746490855891,"projectUrl":"project/reach-teach-them-wiggles-all/9092231/","projectTitle":"Reach & Teach Them, Wiggles & All!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lloyd","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9914092"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_81464","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":313,"numTeachers":33,"percentFrplEligible":4,"percentAsian":18,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":53,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":9,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"9.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":92.3,"schoolId":81464,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Riverside Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Riverside Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/princeton-public-schools/riverside-elementary-school/81464"}
