The reality is that this is not always the case. Kids these days are dealing with so much outside of the classroom and we then expect them to push their reality under the rug and get to work. \r\nStudents need to feel regulated before they are able to learn and that is exactly what my Peace Place does for students. They now have a place to go; to help them work through these hard feelings. They have to learn how to regulate themselves and they are doing just that. My students know they are loved, cared for, and have a place to go when dealing with strong emotions. Thank you for providing me with materials to make this happen.
