I was so surprised at how excited my students were to have this as an option to truly focus and do their best on our independent classwork. However, the simple reminder had my students running to grab them! With teaching such a young age group I know it is difficult for them to choose appropriate times to socialize with their peers, almost every single one of my students are happy to gain more control of their learning environment with these earmuffs. My \"social\" students and students that get easily distracted were excited to use the earmuffs and complete their work in a more timely manner.
