Most of my students are struggling with withdrawal or detox when they arrive, and these activities are a wonderful distraction during that initial time frame. Then, they come back and request *more* of the things they like best! It is incredibly heartwarming! Their current favorites are the mystery coloring pages. When we finish with school, one of the first questions my students start asking is if I have time to bring them any more mystery coloring pages. The 16-color markers pair perfectly with the pages, so that has been a winning duo for sure. I have utilized some of the velvet coloring pages as rewards for progress towards credits and completion, and they are also becoming quite the commodity in my classroom. Every student received one of the scratch art cards before Christmas, and many of them even mailed these art pieces home to their friends and families. I hope hearing just a few of these stories and examples help to communicate what a truly meaningful gift you have helped to give my students.
