Their eyes lit up with joy as they saw the princess castle, books, and scratch magic paper. They could not wait to explore everything. Right away, they began creating their own imaginative stories and assigning roles to one another.\r\nThe girls in our class are absolutely loving the princess castle along with the book and scratch magic paper. These materials have sparked so much creativity and imagination. I often join them during playtime and take small story ideas from the students while we play. One special moment was when a group of students created a story about a brave princess who saved her kingdom with the help of a unicorn and her friends. They worked together, shared ideas, and even acted out parts of the story. It was beautiful to see their confidence grow as they expressed themselves.\r\nWhat has been especially heartwarming is that some of the boys have joined in as well. They have used the other castle to create adventures filled with princesses, knights, dragons, and magical creatures. The materials have encouraged inclusive, cooperative, and creative play among all of our students.\r\nThe impact on our classroom has been wonderful. Students are strengthening their language skills, social-emotional development, cooperation, and storytelling abilities through meaningful dramatic play.\r\nOur next steps are to build on this excitement by connecting their imaginative play to literacy activities. We plan to have students draw and dictate their own fairy tales inspired by their castle adventures. We will also work on sequencing stories (beginning, middle, and end) and identifying characters and settings. These resources are helping us blend play with purposeful learning in such a powerful way.\r\nThis has been an incredible addition to our classroom, and we are so grateful for your kindness and generosity. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making a difference in our students' learning and joy.","fullyFundedDate":1765690145960,"projectUrl":"project/creating-inclusive-play-for-our-girls/9942509/","projectTitle":"Creating Inclusive Play for Our Girls","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Esquivel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8779692_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1671484344254","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8779692"},{"teacherId":8779692,"projectId":9921956,"letterContent":"Again, I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you who donated to my DonorsChoose project. It truly means so much to see the joy on their faces knowing that so many people care about their learning and growth.\r\n\r\nThe tablets have been a huge hit in our classroom. Students have been using them daily to practice writing their names, and some have even started writing their numbers. The simple fact that they are using a tablet instead of paper has sparked so much curiosity and motivation, and it has quickly become one of their favorite learning tools.\r\n\r\nI am also excited to share that every student now has their very own copy of their favorite book, along with a blank book that will later be filled with their own stories. Throughout the year, I have been collecting their ideas and stories, and by the end of the school year, each child will get to take home a book made just for them. With your support, we are in the process of creating a beautiful book filled with their personal stories, writing assignments, and photos from throughout the year. We've been adding pages little by little, and each time we add a new story or picture, the students get so excited to see their work come to life. \r\n\r\nOne unforgettable moment was when a student hugged their book tightly and said, *\"This is mine? I made this?\"* Their joy and sense of accomplishment were truly heartwarming. These books have not only strengthened their love for storytelling but have also built their confidence in writing and sharing their thoughts. \r\n\r\nWe will continue to use these books to inspire even more creativity, encouraging students to write and illustrate their own stories. This project has shown them that their voices matter, and I can't wait to see how they carry this confidence forward in their learning journey. \r\n\r\nThank you for being part of this special project and for making such a meaningful difference in my students' lives!","fullyFundedDate":1737070246556,"projectUrl":"project/my-story-my-world/9016610/","projectTitle":"My Story, My World","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Esquivel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8779692_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1671484344254","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8779692"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_103827","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":15,"percentWhite":12,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":64,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":63.4,"schoolId":103827,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ripley House Charter School - Fraga Pre-K Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ripley House Charter School - Fraga Pre-K Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/texas-department-of-education/ripley-house-charter-school-fraga-pre-k-ctr/103827"}
