Your generosity helps create a safe and healthy learning environment where my students can focus on learning and caring for the children they work with in our Early Childhood Education program.\r\n\r\nWe are using these supplies daily in our classroom as students practice real-world childcare routines. One meaningful moment happened during a recent lesson on health, safety, and sanitation in early childhood settings. Students practiced proper handwashing procedures, sanitizing classroom materials, and cleaning play surfaces—just like they would in a real preschool classroom. Because of your donation, they were able to use the same types of supplies they would see in an actual childcare center, which makes the learning experience much more authentic.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the new materials, they were genuinely excited and grateful. Many of them understand that these supplies are essential for keeping young children safe, and they appreciated having professional-quality materials to use during their hands-on activities. Several students even commented that it made our classroom feel more like a real childcare lab.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, students will continue using these sanitizing supplies as we prepare for more hands-on lessons and classroom simulations. They will be practicing how to properly clean toys, sanitize tables before snack activities, and maintain a healthy environment for young children. These are critical skills for anyone pursuing careers in education or childcare, and your support allows them to learn these responsibilities in a realistic way.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our students and helping us build a classroom that reflects the real world of early childhood education. Your kindness is making a lasting difference in their learning experience.\r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\nBeth Pilkington\r\nEarly Childhood Education Teacher","fullyFundedDate":1758636691855,"projectUrl":"project/sanitizing-supplies-for-a-safe-learning/9522195/","projectTitle":"Sanitizing Supplies for a Safe Learning Space","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pilkington","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6737779_orig.jpg?crop=1536,1536,x0,y430&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1626368613276","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6737779"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_50686","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1284,"numTeachers":84,"percentFrplEligible":84,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":78,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":44.4,"schoolId":50686,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ridgeland High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Ridgeland High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/walker-county-school-district/ridgeland-high-school/50686"}
