Many donors love books, and I'm excited to share how this text supports important skills and lessons.\r\n\r\nThis book introduces students to critical survival skills like problem-solving, resilience, and decision-making under pressure, all woven into an engaging true story. It also encourages empathy and reflection as students consider what it takes to overcome challenges in the wilderness.\r\n\r\nIn my classroom, reading is an interactive and thoughtful experience. Students discuss characters' choices, make predictions, and connect the story to real-world survival strategies. Thanks to this book, reading becomes a gateway to deeper learning across subjects.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who usually find reading challenging have been especially drawn to this story's adventure and real-life context. It's inspiring to see their confidence and enthusiasm grow as they engage with the text and prepare to meet a wilderness expert who will deepen their understanding even more.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly brought reading to life for my students. They were SUPER excited every time we got a \"box of mail\" and asking, \"What's in it? What's in it?\" with enthusiasm. \r\n\r\nWith your generous donations we have been able to add a brand new colorful rug to our classroom and a jellyfish lamp to make our room feel bright and cozy! My students now have access to a variety of fidgets including play doh, magna tiles and liquid timers. We've added multiplication and division flashcards to our math resources to help us learn our math facts. We have social emotional books that I used at the beginning of the year to help build our classroom community. My students also have an unlimited number of markers, paint and crayons to do crafts and help make learning more fun. \r\n\r\nYour donation is appreciated more than you know and I cannot thank you enough for helping fund this project. By doing so it made it possible for me to create a comfortable and engaging learning environment for my students for not only this year but for years to come!
