We were able to get some cocout coir that will be helpful for both our plants and our vermicompost bins. We got some potato growing bags, which will be an awesome addition to our outdoor planting space. We were able to get some flower pots for the students to plant up their own individual spider plants off of the mother plant that we care for daily in our classroom. We were able to get a planting box from EarthBox, and a packet of \"mammoth\" sunflower seeds which will be a fantastic addition to our outdoor space. Last, we were able to get a growing light for our new carnivorous plants that we are enjoying. Even though the original idea for our project wasn't able to take place, we were still able to get so many things that will help us with both our indoor and outdoor gardening experiences. When the materials arrived, my students were so excited to put them to use! We have already installed the growing light, and are planning when we will plant the seeds and use the outdoor gardening items. The students are so excited to see plants grow and know that they are able to care for them! We cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to our cgifted and talented classroom.
