While playing outside on the playground is a favorite part of the day for students, sometimes weather prohibits that from happening. By having board games, art supplies, and building sets in the classroom, students can continue to have recess while also learning to play collaboratively and creatively with peers. Interacting through play, students can build communication skills, problem solving strategies, and people skills. While playing strategically and respectfully, students are preparing for real world experiences that will be a necessary part of society into adulthood.
