This would not have happened without your help! With hands-on materials like foam dice and magnetic number bonds, the students will be able to practice a variety of skills in a more engaging way. We are also very appreciative of the set of pencil grips and scissors that we received, which are especially essential for our Kindergarteners as they learn the appropriate way to hold a pencil and scissors when writing or cutting. Each of our students enjoys the new clipboards that we frequently use while on the carpet. The clipboards also give them more choice in where to sit when they are working on independent tasks.\r\n\r\nI enjoy finding and printing learning activities for our students to practice different skills. The laminating sheets and task card containers have allowed me to laminate and store the words with different phonics patterns that we focus on throughout the year. Having the word cards laminated allows students to be able to use the materials over and over and to be able to mark on them as needed. The file containers that you provided also help me to organize and easily find the different tasks that are available to the students, which makes the day-to-day running of our classroom more efficient. \r\nFinally, the tree light covers are a favorite! They have added a touch of nature and the outdoors to our classroom. Your donations fully funded our project for a new MacBook Pro to be added as a classroom tool. We have enjoyed learning with the help of our new technology. \r\nStudents have enjoyed participating in Crack the Code interactive math games, reading fluency Boom Cards, and small group activities that have become interactive thanks to having a screen to project our own learning needs. \r\n\r\n Students are excited to be able to have a device that connects them to their data. Weekly Progress Monitoring has become easier and a quicker process with an up to date device that students can easily type into and access their assessment tool. The instant translator tool available to us through this device has help even our English Language Learners be able to be praised in their native language(s). \r\n\r\n IEP meetings have also run smoother due to the ability to provide parents with real-time data and reports. The MacBook has been used to display student work and show parents where they can access supplemental material to help their students at home. Virtual meetings are still going strong, as needed, the donation you have made to our classroom is allowing our special education families to be able to meet virtually if for some reason they can not attend the IEP meetings in person. This makes sure their is no interruption in the child's service plan and we remain compliant on all service plans. \r\n\r\n From writing plans, to attending trainings, and accessing interactive material, your donations have made a world of difference to our second home here at Richland.
