We incorporated reading and writing into our art room by reading books, discussing plots, creating clay sculptures based off of books with the model magic clay, and creating our own books with the blank books that have been donated. The students have really enjoyed using these supplies and I have enjoyed being able to offer these fun and engaging projects to them. For example, students have been able to practice their coding skills using resources such as \"hour of code\" and Osmo coding. With these programs, they have not only learned the basics of what it means to code, but some students have found a passion in coding and have become very good at it so far! Aside from coding, students have used our new iPad to practice their spelling and reading skills during their free time using various apps. This has helped greatly in supplementing lessons and preparing them to become better readers and writers.","fullyFundedDate":1727213375215,"projectUrl":"project/technology-for-rural-students/8684822/","projectTitle":"Technology for Rural Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Baldwin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9694873"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_78376","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":35,"numTeachers":4,"percentFrplEligible":36,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":95,"percentIndigenous":2,"percentLatinx":0,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"8.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":78376,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Richey Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Richey Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/montana/richey-public-school-district/richey-elementary-school/78376"}
