Students came up with their own ideas which gave them 5 options to choose from. They had to share places around school to go to for various reasons. They also had to give suggestions of good study habits to do well in school. All of this was in French. Students worked alone or with a partner. They had to organize their ideas on regular paper, while using the targeted vocabulary required. Then they had to use presentation skills to make bullet points for the audience while writing a full script in French. Then they had to present their posters to the class.","fullyFundedDate":1746669867426,"projectUrl":"project/present-reuse-and-present/9268509/","projectTitle":"Present, Reuse, and Present!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Graffio","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9644005"},{"teacherId":9644005,"projectId":8618340,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the discussion cubes. The variety of questions makes it always fun for students to share something personal about themselves in a safe way. The material of the cubes is very light so they do get tossed around. The cubes definitely bring the class together by allowing students to get to know each other better.\r\n\r\nThe poster paper makes our presentations so much more real to life and engaging. The most recent use of the poster paper was in French 2 where students presented a poster/flyer for a special event with food and activities. As you may see in the photos they were quite creative. In French 4/AP students used the poster paper to write slogans and messages for our campus to stand up against discrimination, help the environment and more.\r\n\r\nWe will continue to use the talking cubes for years to come. This is a great way to create a classroom that cares about each other by learning about each other. \r\n\r\nWe will be using the rest of the poster paper for each unit in each level of French until it runs out. These presentations allow students to work alone or with a partner and show their peers the product. They really like seeing each others work.","fullyFundedDate":1727402612496,"projectUrl":"project/present-what-you-know/8618340/","projectTitle":"Present What You Know!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Graffio","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9644005"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29271","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2971,"numTeachers":116,"percentFrplEligible":18,"percentAsian":11,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":43,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":26,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"25.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":80.6,"schoolId":29271,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Redondo Union High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Redondo Union High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/redondo-beach-unified-school-district/redondo-union-high-school/29271"}
