Your generosity will leave a lasting impact on me, as well as all the students you donated towards. \r\n\r\nYour donations went towards G, a third grade student who struggles with sensory overload and loud environments. With your help, I was able to provide G with Loop noise cancelling earbuds. These allow her to hear conversations, particularly in the cafeteria or at assemblies, without the loud and overwhelming background noises. She is so excited to have this tool to accommodate her learning and encouraged to be able to participate in the loud parts of being at school without the sensory overload. \r\n\r\nYour donations went towards J and his entire 5th grade class. When talking with J a couple weeks ago, he mentioned in passing that he was interested in soccer and that his classroom was one of the few at the school without a soccer ball to bring to recess. When I brought the ball into the classroom, the students were so excited! It was so moving to see all of them erupt with cheers over something as unassuming as a soccer ball. To the students, this gift was important. It showed them that the adults at school don't only support their academics, but also care deeply about their overall experience at school. \r\n\r\nYour actions also instill in my students the idea that there is great value in giving to those who can give nothing in return except their gratitude. I am always looking for opportunities for my students to identify goodness in action, and I'm thrilled to be able to point to your goodness as an example. \r\n\r\nOn behalf of myself, my students, and the entire Red Hill community, thank you.","fullyFundedDate":1758831537477,"projectUrl":"project/social-emotional-learning-support-for-ou/9758128/","projectTitle":"Social-Emotional Learning Support for Our Elementary Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Savannah","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9796575"},{"teacherId":9989734,"projectId":9222981,"letterContent":"The \"Pages with Purpose\" project made a visible difference in how students engaged with reading over the summer. When the now 5th graders returned to school, many were eager to talk about the books they had read over the summer. One student proudly brought her poetry book to class and read aloud her favorite funny poems, sparking laughter and interest from her classmates. Another student asked if I had any more \"choose your own adventure\" books because he loved being able to make decisions that shaped the story. These moments highlight how having access to high-quality, interesting books can spark a joy and curiosity in reading.\r\n\r\nThe impact was also reflected in our data. The beginning-of-the-year assessments showed that 5th grade reading scores remained strong, suggesting that the books students had access to over the summer helped them avoid the usual \"summer slide.\" Just as importantly, students returned with a sense of excitement about reading. They were more confident, more talkative about the books they enjoyed, and more willing to explore new genres.\r\n\r\nThis project did more than provide books—it helped create a culture where reading is seen as fun, personal, and worth sharing with others. By giving students the chance to see themselves as readers over the summer, \"Pages with Purpose\" has built momentum that continues to carry into the school year.","fullyFundedDate":1747444943455,"projectUrl":"project/pages-with-purpose/9222981/","projectTitle":"Pages with Purpose","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rodgers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9989734"},{"teacherId":9557368,"projectId":8426607,"letterContent":"In my role as a special education teacher working with students who have behavioral and emotional needs, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive. Your incredible generosity has made this mission even more achievable. The tools and resources you provided allow my students to reregulate when they become dysregulated and find calm amidst moments of anxiety or overstimulation. Your support has equipped us with everything we could need and want to help students feel safe, secure, and valued. \r\n\r\nWhen the packages began arriving, the excitement in our classroom was palpable. One of my students joyfully exclaimed, \"This is like Christmas in the movies!\" This moment of wonder and appreciation is one I will never forget. Your kindness has not only touched my students but also me. Seeing their joy and gratitude has been a reminder of the immense impact kindness and support can have. Your donations have become an integral part of our daily lives, empowering students to focus on their learning and emotional well-being. \r\n\r\nThe reach of your generosity has extended beyond my classroom. I have been able to share some of the resources with our general special education teacher, our social and emotional coach, and our guidance counselor. This means your impact is benefiting not just my students but the entire school community. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference in the lives of so many.
