Students learned from the ground up the history of comic along with the process in which they are made. The final stages of their projects were to create a full color comic page that could go on for pages or just be a short story with a beginning, conflict and resolution. The most exciting part was adding full color with the alcohol markers donating by you. Students don't always have the means to work with higher grade art materials. In this particular class of 28 only 4 students had worked with alcohol markers. Students enjoyed how smooth they were able to blend the colors and get clear coverage over the tag board paper. The final results were more than I could ask for. Once they created their first page they got more and more creative with design and color usage. Thank you for giving them this opportunity to express themselves and explore what art has to offer their imagination. \r\n\r\nWith much appreciation, \r\n\r\nMrs. Krystina Sanders","fullyFundedDate":1727462816312,"projectUrl":"project/viberant-comic-book-illustrations/8576191/","projectTitle":"Viberant Comic book Illustrations","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sanders","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9244400_orig.jpg?crop=956,956,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693495358147","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9244400"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98774","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":311,"numTeachers":11,"percentFrplEligible":17,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":58,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"28.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.7,"schoolId":98774,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Kenneth Homyak Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Kenneth Homyak Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/weld-re-8-school-district/quest-academy/98774"}
