We had so much fun with all the supplies and fun materials. Since this project was fully funded I was able to share the materials with my teaching partners which means that the entire 4th grade at our school was able to enjoy these materials. We started out with a pizza fraction math day. I decorated the classroom in all the things you were so kind to purchase and we spent the entire day doing different activities with fractions. We built pizzas that were cut in different sizes, wrote paragraphs about what they would sell if they owned a pizza shop and created art. Many told me at the end of the year this was their favorite memory from 4th grade. With the Oregon Trail materials we used those for three weeks. We used the lanterns when we had to \"camp out at night\". We hung up the wall hanging when we \"made it to Oregon\" and used the fires to sit around while we told stories about our adventures on the Oregon Trail. Using the materials you purchased I was able to create the hands on learning that I love for the students to experience. They were able to play and expand their imaginations all while learning the concepts required for 4th grade. In the future I hope to keep expanding that way of learning for my classroom. Thank you so much for being a part of this.","fullyFundedDate":1742933368588,"projectUrl":"project/4th-grade-fractions-and-the-oregon-trail/9099200/","projectTitle":"4th Grade Fractions and the Oregon Trail","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Petersen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9831420"},{"teacherId":9931078,"projectId":9129799,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our Peace Place project! Your donation helped replenish worn-out bean bag chairs, replace missing timers, and restock sensory tools, ensuring that each K–6 classroom continues to offer a supportive space for students to self-regulate and return to learning with confidence.\r\n\r\nWhile the impact on students is ongoing and essential, the joy was first visible in our teachers' faces as they came down to select the materials their classrooms needed—it genuinely felt like Christmas.
