Because of your generosity, my students now have access to resources that are already making a meaningful impact on their learning and excitement for school. Your generosity has given my students tools they truly need to manage their emotions, reset their bodies, and return to learning feeling successful.\r\n\r\nWe are using the new materials daily in our Zen Zone for multiple students. We are using the materials daily to support self-regulation and emotional awareness. Students independently use items such as sensory tools, calming visuals, the trampoline, and soft seating when they begin to feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or overstimulated. One meaningful moment occurred when a student who often struggles with transitions used the Calm Corner to take deep breaths with a visual breathing guide and squeeze a sensory fidget. After a few minutes, the student was able to rejoin the class calmly and complete their workâsomething that was very difficult before we had these resources.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the Calm Corner materials, they were immediately excited and curious. They carefully explored the sensory tools, practiced using the emotion visuals, and asked thoughtful questions about how the space would help them. Several students shared that the Calm Corner made them feel \"safe,\" \"relaxed,\" and \"happy,\" which showed me how important this space already was to them.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps include continuing to explicitly teach students how to identify their emotions, choose a regulation strategy that works for them, and reflect on how those strategies help their learning. Students will continue to practice using the Calm Corner independently as part of our social-emotional learning routines. Your donation is helping us build lifelong skills in emotional regulation, self-awareness, and resilience.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students the tools they need to feel calm, confident, and ready to learn. Your support has truly made a lasting difference in our classroom.
