The markers provided bright, fresh colors for students to illustrate their books. \r\nThe books about various artists and art materials were able to give my students many ideas about illustrations for their stories. Scrabble was a bit above level for many of my students and we used the wood letter squares to spell names and words. The classic game of Connect Four taught about taking turns and counting the pieces, as well as encouraging close observation as students watched to see what would be the next move.
