One exciting moment was seeing students use the technology during a collaborative classroom project on animals in the arctic habitat- where they researched a topic, created digital presentations, and shared their learning with classmates. Their excitement was immediate—when they first saw the new materials, the classroom was filled with curiosity, smiles, and eager questions about how they could use them in their learning. Students who are sometimes quiet or hesitant to participate became noticeably more engaged and confident when given the opportunity to learn through technology. Moving forward, our next steps include using these resources to support reading comprehension, math practice, science exploration, and project-based learning activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking. Thanks to this project, our students are not only learning classroom content—they are also building valuable digital skills that will support their success in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1735162580538,"projectUrl":"project/bright-spaces-bright-faces-3rd-grade-cl/8705390/","projectTitle":"Bright Spaces, Bright Faces 3rd Grade Classroom Makeover","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6176539"},{"teacherId":8564110,"projectId":9178675,"letterContent":"Thank you again for your contribution to my classroom. Each item donated made an impact on the lessons taught in the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Unit of Study, as well as the Water Unit of Study.\r\nThe students absolutely loved the Lakeshore Science Viewers. It helped them make connections in our Water Unit when they can see the various wildlife that lives in the water. They were asking questions about what they saw and were able to expand their knowledge of how animals and plants live and survive in water. The plush toys let the students have a tactile view of the Earth.\r\nSnack time was nutritious as well as educational with your donations. The students were able to make edible dirt with the pudding and oreo cookies. They seemed to enjoy the idea of making something that they learned about and eating it. These are just a few things we did with your donations. Thank you again for helping my classroom to be a fun and hands on place to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1742823912600,"projectUrl":"project/me-and-the-world/9178675/","projectTitle":"Me and the World","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. M","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8564110_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659740487430","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8564110"},{"teacherId":6176539,"projectId":8854285,"letterContent":"The introduction of this technology has created meaningful opportunities for our students to engage with learning in ways that feel interactive, relevant, and empowering. Technology in the classroom is much more than simply using devices—it gives students access to tools that support creativity, build confidence, and help meet individual learning needs.\r\nFor many of our students, hands-on digital learning has improved engagement and participation. Interactive lessons, educational applications, and technology-based activities allow students to learn at their own pace while receiving immediate feedback, which helps strengthen understanding and retention. It also encourages collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking—skills that will serve them well far beyond the classroom.\r\nWhat excites students most is the ability to actively participate in their learning experience rather than passively receive information. Whether they are creating projects, exploring interactive content, practicing skills through engaging platforms, or seeing concepts brought to life visually, technology makes learning feel dynamic and accessible. Students are especially motivated by tools that make lessons feel personalized, modern, and fun.\r\nWe have also seen particular growth in students who may have previously struggled to connect with traditional instruction. Some quieter students have become more engaged when given digital tools that allow them to express themselves in new ways. Students who benefit from visual or interactive learning supports are showing greater confidence, increased independence, and a stronger willingness to participate. For many, technology has become a bridge that helps them feel successful in the classroom.\r\nYour support is helping create an environment where every student has greater access to learning opportunities, stronger engagement, and the tools needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world. The impact reaches beyond academics—it is helping build confidence, curiosity, and excitement for learning every day.","fullyFundedDate":1729053016516,"projectUrl":"project/technology-in-3rd/8854285/","projectTitle":"Technology in 3rd","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6176539"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_75","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":237,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":58,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":29,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"8.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.8,"schoolId":75,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 76 A Philip Randolph on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 76 A Philip Randolph","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-76-a-philip-randolph/75"}
