They work hard, are motivated and eager to learn. I wanted to keep in mind that they are still 5 and 6 year old students who still greatly benefit from learning though hands on activities.\r\n\r\nAs a school that introduced our students to computational thinking, it was great to see them put their understanding of algorithms when using Botley the robot. They love using their coding skills to make Botley come to life. They have also eagerly collaborated with their peers to find new ways to work with it.\r\nMaterials such as the magnetic blocks were a hit as my students love to use their imagination and see what they can create. The charging station is a tremendous help with keeping our devices charged for our tech station and the styluses have been so helpful for students to use as they are now learning proper letter formation with technology.\r\n\r\nWe have loved using our giant ten frame, not only with the provided counters but it's large enough for our students to stand in and represent numbers. It has added a pop of fun to the daily math skills that they are working on. These activities have helped them become more engaged and in turn more successful in mastering their goals.\r\n\r\nWe are thankful that you have given our students the sheer joy of play and meaningful ways to interact with others. This closet has created a more organized classroom environment. At the end of the school, year we were a belt to stick the closet and begin to use the supplies. We have already seen the excitement on their faces as they use these materials to bring their imaginations to life.\r\nThis art supply closet is more than just a piece of furniture; it is a vital resource that inspires innovation and joy every day. They work hard, are motivated and eager to learn. With today's higher expectations for academic learning, I wanted to keep in mind that they are still 5 and 6 year old students who still greatly benefit from play. \r\n\r\nThey have enjoyed engaging in pretend play in our Dramatic Play area using our new sets of realistic pots, pans and utensils that they love to cook with, while tending to the multicultural dolls in the center. Our block center has come to life with new neighborhood signs as students are now able to use the community worker toys along with vehicles, further enhancing what they learned about communities in Social Studies. The activities for math and reading are adding a pop of fun to the daily academic skills that they are working on. These activities have helped them become more engaged and in turn more successful in mastering their goals.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, you have given our students the sheer joy of play and meaningful ways to interact with others.
