Maximizing Small Spaces for Big Sensory and Fine Motor Gains continues to provide new and fun experiences for my students. While there has been some staffing changes to the therapy room in which we work out of, my students and I are frequently trialing the materials in fun and creative ways. For example, we have used the graded therapy clips not just for strengthening our hands, but also for sorting, matching, and following directions based games. The balance board and various sized stepping stones have been a great platform for the students to work on body awareness, balance, crossing midline, and sustained attention, especially during \"Simon Says.\" However, one of the most versatile items so far has been the sensory bin filler materials, as the students are able to use the materials either at the table, in an obstacle course, or even working on their stomachs as they strengthen their backs and upper body muscles. \r\n\r\nEvery time I pull out something new from this project, it continuously seems to bring excitement to our OT sessions.
