Students read independently, in pairs, and in small groups, with plenty of opportunities to discuss and share their thoughts. Read-alouds help model thinking strategies, and students are encouraged to use text evidence to support their ideas.\r\n\r\nI've noticed some students especially enjoying the new books! [Student A] loves the nonfiction selections and eagerly shares facts, while [Student B], who was once hesitant, has found a series they're excited about. Some of my girls in class had been in a bit of a reading slump, until they saw some of these books! They were reading together, independently, and at home. They were even sharing them with peers during their lunch time and looking up for more books by these authors that they could read. \r\n\r\nI am so happy and proud of the way our library is growing.
