My students were amazed by the new manipulative and they couldn't wait to begin playing with them. One of my students even told me that he never played with manipulative like this before so he was excited to explore with the manipulatives. \r\n\t\r\nMy 6th and 7th grade students enjoy playing with the magnetic blocks and what they don't know is that they are preparing themselves for a later unit that focuses on magnets and how they work.\r\n\r\nMy 7th grade students loved using the play doh to construct one of the three body systems we learned about. By bringing this hands on component to my lesson, I was able to make the content more accessible and more hands-on for my students who require that hands-on component on a daily basis. \r\n\t\r\nThanks to your donation, I see a brighter future ahead for the students in my classroom. One where they can engage with the curriculum in a whole new way. One that extends past the workbooks and the slides. One that allows them to access their inner child and play with manipulative that will also serve to support their learning.","fullyFundedDate":1760906668799,"projectUrl":"project/exploring-science-through-familiarity/9842194/","projectTitle":"Exploring Science Through Familiarity","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Comfort","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9142247"},{"teacherId":1432520,"projectId":9696778,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your incredible generosity in funding our classroom bookshelf project through DonorsChoose. Thanks to your kindness, my students now have a warm, organized, and inspiring reading space that supports their learning every single day. These bookshelves have made a tremendous difference in both the look and the feel of our classroom, and most importantly, in how my students interact with books.\r\nBefore your donation, our reading materials were scattered across bins and tables, making it hard for students to find and return books independently. Now, our books are neatly displayed and easily accessible on beautiful new shelves. The transformation has been remarkable. The children beam with pride when they choose a book from our organized library, and I've noticed an immediate increase in their interest in reading. They love being able to see the colorful covers, organize books by topic, and share new discoveries with their classmates.","fullyFundedDate":1758842438860,"projectUrl":"project/time-to-organize/9696778/","projectTitle":"Time to Organize","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Esposito","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1432520_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1598644455685","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/toni-esposito"},{"teacherId":10049839,"projectId":9462688,"letterContent":"Thanks to your support, our Community Care Closet has quickly become a vital resource for our students. The new clothing and hygiene items are being used daily by middle schoolers who might otherwise go without. One moment that stood out was when a student came to me after gym class, relieved to know they could grab a fresh pair of shorts before heading back to class. Their gratitude and sense of comfort in that small moment spoke volumes about how much these resources mean.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the stocked closet, many expressed excitement and relief. They were grateful to know they had access to clean clothes and hygiene products without embarrassment. Having these essentials available has not only boosted their confidence but has also allowed them to focus more on their learning instead of worrying about what they don't have.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our next step is to continue building and sustaining this Community Closet so that it remains a reliable source of support for all students who need it. By maintaining this resource, we are working toward creating a school culture where every child feels cared for, confident, and ready to succeed both in and out of the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1755714191589,"projectUrl":"project/fresh-fits-for-fall/9462688/","projectTitle":"Fresh Fits for Fall","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Amber","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10049839"},{"teacherId":10049839,"projectId":9395749,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our students have been able to enjoy the new t-shirts and socks in ways that have truly made a difference. The fresh clothing has become a much-needed part of their school day, especially after coming inside from playing sports and outdoor activities. One of the most memorable moments was seeing the students' excitement when they first received the items. They were so grateful and relieved to know they had clean, comfortable clothing to change into. This simple act gave them a sense of dignity and confidence that carried over into the classroom.\r\n\r\nYour support has helped us create more than just comfort; it's building a stronger sense of community in our school. We are using these resources not only to meet immediate needs but also as a foundation for a larger effort. Our next step is to continue expanding our school's community care closet, ensuring that all students have access to the essentials they need to feel confident, cared for, and successful each day.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply thankful for your kindness and support.
