Every child has different passions, curiosities, and favorite topics, and having books that reflect those interests help students see themselves as readers. Whether a student is fascinated by animals space, sports, history, or another special interest, there is now a book waiting for them! \r\n\r\nThese books also directly support our ELA curriculum modules. We now have texts that connect to the themes and topics we are studying throughout the year, giving students additional opportunities to explore ideas, build background knowledge, make connections and dive deeper into our curriculum. Instead of learning about a topic only through a lesson or a required text, students can independently choose books that allow them to continue exploring and asking questions. \r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping me put more books into their hands. The cubby bins for books have given my students a special place to keep and organize their reading materials, helping them take ownership of their books and develop strong independent reading habits. The bean bag chairs have created a cozy and inviting reading space where students can relax, enjoy a good book, and truly see reading as something to look forward to. The noise-canceling headphones and classroom headphones have also made a huge difference. They allow students to foucs during independent work, technology activities, and small-group rotations while minimizing distractions. For many of my students, having a quiet space to concentrate can make all the difference in their ability to stay engaged and feel successful. Most importantly, these supplies have helped me create a classroom where my students feel that they belong, they are prepared, and their learning matters.
