Together, we planted seeds and transformed part of our classroom into a small green space. Each student had a special classroom job—some monitored the plants' growth, others checked water levels, and a few counted leaves to track progress over time.\r\n\r\nThey were so excited! Many of them had never planted anything before, so opening the materials and realizing they would get to grow something from scratch was a big moment. They looked forward to coming to class each day to see what had changed overnight.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue caring for the plants and observing how they change as they grow. We're also connecting this project to science lessons about ecosystems—using our classroom fish tank to explore how living things depend on one another. Timers help us transition between plant care tasks and other classroom activities, keeping the routine structured and fun.","fullyFundedDate":1725134748504,"projectUrl":"project/grow-grow-growing-each-day/8714105/","projectTitle":"Grow, Grow, Growing Each Day!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barrera","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9468508_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y162&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1707930889812","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9468508"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1088","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":89,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":84,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":6,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"US Census Data for the surrounding geographic area","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"Census ZCTA","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":54.2,"schoolId":1088,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 233 Q @P827 on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 233 Q @P827","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/district-75-city-wide-programs/ps-233-q-p827/1088"}
