One project the students especially loved was our \"Build Your Own Breakfast\" activity — they got to choose items from labeled bins like oatmeal, granola bars, fruit cups, and more. Not only was this fun and functional, but it also helped them work on sequencing, choice-making, and basic food prep skills.\r\n\r\nHow did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\n\r\nThey were so excited! Several students kept saying \"Wow!\" and \"Is this ours?\" as we unpacked and set things up. One of my students even asked if we were \"on a cooking show\" because everything looked so neat and professional. Their sense of ownership and pride was obvious from the very beginning — they immediately wanted to help label bins and put items in the right spots.\r\n\r\nWhat are the next steps for your students on a current classroom lesson or project?\r\n\r\nNow that our pantry is up and running, we've begun incorporating it into weekly life skills routines. Seeing their confidence grow has been incredible!\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to track our collections and use the cash box to manage funds from recycling deposits.
