When unboxing the materials the children were so excited. Setting up the trampoline was an adventure since our students all wanted to help. The materials have enhanced our classroom and the daily lives of our children. Many of our students receive physical therapy and occupational therapy. We have watched how the trampoline has increased their awareness in their feet and are helping them gain confidence in jumping. Additionally, for those students that need wiggle room, the trampoline is an outlet for them to jump and organize their body, while the pod gives them a chance to confine and relax their bodies so they can get back to their work.\r\nSince all of our students have autism we have used the materials to help them regulate their bodies. We have created our classroom to be a calm safe place for exploration. We work with the students needs and interest to facilitate learning goals. We are so thankful to you since we are always looking to provide our students with materials to gain experience and learning from.","fullyFundedDate":1735587561096,"projectUrl":"project/calm-body-peaceful-minds-help-us-grow/8742134/","projectTitle":"Calm Body, Peaceful Minds Help Us Grow","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sulimanoff","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2106556_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1545164390790","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dahlia-sulimanoff"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_133","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":141,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":55,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":38,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"6.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.0,"schoolId":133,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 194 Countee Cullen on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 194 Countee Cullen","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-194-countee-cullen/133"}
