My students have benefitied immensly from the supplies you've given us. The printer has allowed me to quickly print out signs, pictures, banners, lessons and much more to help benefit my students learning. The science equiptment has allowed my students to be part of different science activities such as creating paints from natural materials. They have also enjoyed learning about their bodies while using body felt board. \r\nOn a daily basis my students learn about living and non-living things and the microscope we received helps them look at insects, natural materials and inside seeds. I at times take pictures of the outdoor activities my students are involved in and print the pictures for our parents. They at times take the natural materials to view in the microscope. While learning about living and non-living things, the children are using the felt body part board to help them learn about what we need in order to live and grow. \r\nI have been able to do so much with the supplies that my students use and benefit from on a daily basis and I once again want to thank you all for the help.","fullyFundedDate":1758898991773,"projectUrl":"project/learners-for-life/9464130/","projectTitle":"Learners For Life","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ciscart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6852584_orig.jpg?crop=1783,1783,x0,y475&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660954755957","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6852584"},{"teacherId":6852584,"projectId":8491109,"letterContent":"My students have learned so much this year because of the hands on materials you provided. The have learned number sense skills such as 1 to 1 correspondence skill, counting outloud and group them into quantities. The 10 frames have helped my students who needed help identifying number and quantity while also helping children with algebriac expressions such as combining quantities using mannipulatives and 10 frames. The materials also helped me with teaching patterns, colors and quantifying. They also use the large money we received from the donors in the 10 frame.\r\n The students in my class have also enjoyed all the magnetic letters they received. The size of the letters was most impressive to them especially to the children who have issues with name recogniton. Some have struggles recognizing their names and the letters in their names. The letters have helped them with their alphabet and literacy skills. They use the letters in the library/cozy corner to build feelings and study vocabulary. My students love to build with magna-tiles. The addition of the ones we recieved with letters have help the children input letters and words they know or are learning into the beautifil structures they build. \r\n Every time I opened a new gift we received the children were given a demonstration on how to used product. I loved hearing their ooh and ahs. They also gave my assistant and I ideas about how to use the products. They have anjoyed all the gifts they received.\r\n I run an afterschool program for my students and their families. I use that time to help the children learn to use other parts of the school like our gym and cafeteria. I also use the materials we received to continue to grow their math and reading skills. They are currently making a number book, using 10 frames and creating books during each study.\r\n My student's, families and I appreciate your contribution to our class.","fullyFundedDate":1726882024435,"projectUrl":"project/the-letters-and-numbers-of-life/8491109/","projectTitle":"The Letters and Numbers of Life","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ciscart","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6852584_orig.jpg?crop=1783,1783,x0,y475&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660954755957","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6852584"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_259","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":182,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":68,"percentWhite":2,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":27,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"7.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.7,"schoolId":259,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about PS 154 Harriet Tubman on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"PS 154 Harriet Tubman","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-york/new-york-city-dept-of-ed/ps-154-harriet-tubman/259"}
