Your contributions have made a significant impact on my students' learning experiences, and I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks!\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, my students have been actively engaging in improving their writing! The workbook resources have invited our emergent writers to explore and play with the conventions of language, fostering their creativity and nurturing their love for writing.\r\n\r\nThe laminator has also been a fantastic addition to our classroom. I've been using it for reading, writing, and math fluency drills, ensuring that our learning materials are durable and can be reused throughout the year, which has made a noticeable difference in our students' engagement and understanding.\r\n\r\nThe kids all love the NeeDoh sensory toys, and they helped them focus and manage their energy during lessons. The Fact Family Boards have been instrumental in reinforcing math concepts, allowing students to visualize and understand relationships between numbers.\r\n\r\nLastly, the fun writing pens have made writing exciting for our students, encouraging them to express their thoughts in a slightly more exciting way.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly transformed our classroom environment, and I cannot thank you enough for believing in the students and their potential. I'm excited to continue using these resources to inspire and educate our young learners.","fullyFundedDate":1739806997214,"projectUrl":"project/writers-workshop-and-focus/8894137/","projectTitle":"Writer's Workshop and Focus","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jaime","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9224058_orig.jpg?crop=2511,2510,x0,y50&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729562033654","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9224058"},{"teacherId":9630272,"projectId":8566409,"letterContent":"Every day, my students have a designated reading time. During this time, students are supposed to bring their own book from home or from our school library. Oftentimes though, students would show up for class without a book. I had a few very old titles that I had found at yard and garage sales to offer, but none were very interesting to them.\r\n\r\nThankfully, I now have a selection of diverse, interesting, new, engaging books to direct them to. I have had students ask if they could borrow the book and take it home so they can continue to read it. More specifically, we are examining how atoms arrange and rearrange all while following the law of conservation of mass. \r\n\r\nAs an 8th grade class, the concept of chemical formulas are introduced. Identifying what the subscripts, coefficients, and letter represent in a chemical formula and further in a chemical equation, reactants and products, is challenging. These kits help students model what is happening chemically on a larger scale, in a more concrete hands-on activity. Essentially allowing students to visualize atoms, how they make up molecules, and rearrange to form other molecules. This conceptual representation is crucial to help students grow in understanding these small scale concepts. \r\n\r\nThank you for giving PRA's 8th grade science class a wonderful tool, these chemical modeling kits, to build a basic foundation of chemistry.","fullyFundedDate":1724425581840,"projectUrl":"project/chemical-reactions-total-mass-remains-t/8589576/","projectTitle":"Chemical Reactions: Total Mass Remains The Same","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Naujock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9258682"},{"teacherId":8576352,"projectId":8570101,"letterContent":"I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for your generous support of my recent project on DonorsChoose. Your contributions have made an incredible difference in our classroom, particularly in providing social-emotional tools and flexible seating options, such as stools and other resources. Your kindness has not only enhanced our learning environment but has also positively impacted the social and emotional well-being of my students.\r\n\r\nAs an educator, I understand that a well-rounded education goes beyond academics. It is essential to address the social and emotional needs of students to foster their overall development. With your support, we have been able to implement various social-emotional learning (SEL) tools that are crucial for helping students navigate their feelings, develop empathy, and build strong relationships with their peers. The resources you helped provide have allowed us to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable expressing themselves.\r\n\r\nOne of the key components of our SEL initiative has been the use of [specific social-emotional tools you acquired]. These tools have equipped my students with the skills they need to manage their emotions, resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively. For example, we have incorporated activities that encourage mindfulness and self-reflection, which have proven to be incredibly beneficial for my students' mental health. The positive changes I have witnessed in their behavior and interactions with one another are truly remarkable.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the social-emotional tools, your support in providing flexible seating options, such as stools, has significantly transformed our classroom environment. Students often thrive when they have the opportunity to choose their seating arrangements, and these stools have allowed for greater comfort and collaboration. Many of my students have expressed how much they enjoy having the freedom to move around and find a spot that works best for them. This flexibility has led to increased engagement and participation in class activities.\r\n\r\nMoreover, the stools have helped to create an inclusive atmosphere where all students feel valued. For instance, students who may struggle with traditional seating arrangements have found success and comfort in using these stools. The ability to shift positions and engage in group discussions has fostered a sense of belonging among my students, enhancing their overall classroom experience.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has not only impacted my students academically but has also instilled in them a sense of gratitude and the importance of community. We have engaged in conversations about how your contributions have made a difference in our classroom, and many students have expressed their desire to give back in some way. This lesson in empathy and appreciation is invaluable and will undoubtedly stay with them as they grow.\r\n\r\nAs we continue to utilize the social-emotional tools and flexible seating options you provided, I am excited to witness the ongoing positive changes in my students. Your support has empowered me as an educator and has inspired my students to embrace their learning journey with enthusiasm and confidence.\r\n\r\nIn conclusion, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your belief in our students and for investing in their education. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our classroom and the lives of my students. Together, we are nurturing the leaders of tomorrow, and I am incredibly grateful for your partnership in this mission.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness and support. I look forward to sharing more success stories as we continue to grow and thrive in our learning environment.","fullyFundedDate":1723165709927,"projectUrl":"project/mr-davis-classroom-supplies/8570101/","projectTitle":"Mr. Davis' Classroom Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8576352_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1722999765717","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8576352"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_101814","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1478,"numTeachers":72,"percentFrplEligible":8,"percentAsian":13,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":65,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":13,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":87.0,"schoolId":101814,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Prospect Ridge Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Prospect Ridge Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/adams-12-five-star-schools/prospect-ridge-academy/101814"}
