Your contributions have not only provided our students with exciting resources but also served as a powerful motivator, inspiring them to reach new heights of academic achievement.\r\n\r\nWe've transformed our school store into an exciting hub of student motivation. Thanks to your generous support, the store is now brimming with enticing prizes that students can earn through academic achievement, good behavior, and active participation. This has proven to be a powerful incentive, boosting student engagement and effort across all subjects.\r\n\r\nYour contributions have allowed us a wide range of high-quality manipulatives specifically designed to support students with disabilities. These hands-on tools, such as sensory fidgets, have been invaluable in keeping our students with diverse learning needs engaged and actively participating in classroom activities. They provide alternative ways to learn and process information, fostering a more inclusive and successful learning experience for all.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw our school store, their excitement was palpable! When we unveiled the rewards, their faces lit up with joy and anticipation. They were eager to dive in. Seeing their enthusiasm was incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nThe enhanced school store has been a game-changer for many students who previously struggled to find the motivation to succeed academically. The prospect of earning prizes like lego sets and carnival prizes has ignited a newfound sense of determination in these students. We're witnessing a remarkable transformation as they strive to achieve academic goals they may have never considered possible before.\r\n\r\nFor example, one student who consistently struggled in writing has shown significant improvement since the store was revamped. He's now actively participating in class, completing his work with increased focus, and even seeking extra help from his teacher. He's clearly motivated by the chance to earn points towards the city explorer diving boat lego set!\r\n\r\nThis positive reinforcement has not only improved academic performance but also fostered a more positive and encouraging learning environment for students with disabilities who generally struggle in school.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only provided our students with valuable tools and resources, but it has also instilled in them a love of learning and a belief in their own potential. Thank you again for your generosity and for making a lasting impact on the lives of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1727462992861,"projectUrl":"project/engage-and-reward-enhancing-classroom-m/8572488/","projectTitle":"Engage and Reward: Enhancing Classroom Motivation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. King","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9306931_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y504&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695840857804","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9306931"},{"teacherId":9632669,"projectId":8575176,"letterContent":"I write today with much gratitude for the donations that enabled us to buy some new supplies for social-emotional learning. Our school, Prospect Academy, serves primarily special education students in grades 4-8 - in fact, about 90% of our students have an IEP. We are always looking for hands-on ways to engage our students, especially with social-emotional learning skills. \r\n\r\nOur teachers have loved using chart paper in many different ways in their classes. They have had kids take notes, they have used it to create expectations and community norms (as pictured) and to keep kids moving as well as engaging in lessons. It is a wonderful tool that we use for all kinds of brainstorming and community engagement. \r\n\r\nWe have used the magnatiles for students to work together to build a project - as a way to encourage cooperation and increase frustration tolerance.
