It's neat to see them actually reading! The content of the book not only aligns well with our curriculum, but it also provides a fresh perspective beyond the standard textbook. It has fostered discussion of topics regarding mass incarceration, the death penalty, the importance of context, and even what mercy and grace for others look like. These are topics that students hadn't given much thought to, things they can apply in their own lives.\r\n\r\nIn addition to that, your generosity also models real-life kindness. Yes, it has inspired true enjoyment of reading and has supported our academic learning, but it has gone even further than that. Your example of investing in something you believe in is an example of grace that goes beyond the words of a book. It's kindness in action. First, our budgets were cut this year and I was unable to order Art supplies for the district, which affected all 4K-12 students because I only had enough paper, paint and glue for the first few projects. Your donation enabled us to have the supplies and materials we needed to complete all of the curriculum I had planned for the year. Without it, my students would be doing only the basics like an Art on the Cart type of class using crayons and markers.\r\n\r\nSecondly, the students really love doing the hands-on projects! From building with the clay to painting on a variety of canvases for our up-coming K-12 Art Exhibit, they thoroughly have a blast learning to use and creating with the variety of materials we have.\r\n\r\nI honestly could not have raised enough money with the fundraisers we had this year, for all these supplies, I greatly appreciate your generosity!
