Because of your generosity, my students are now able to work together on creative \"passion projects\" using a variety of supplies that support organization, planning, and problem-solving.\r\n\r\nStudents are learning how to work effectively in groups by taking on specific roles such as leader, artist, writer, or organizer. These roles help students recognize their own strengths while appreciating the talents of others. For example, one student may focus on drawing and visual design, while another documents ideas or keeps materials organized. Watching them collaborate, communicate, and support one another has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited to learn that their projects would be taken seriously enough to be preserved and shared. Some of their work will go through the publishing process and be shared online, while other projects will be laminated and added to student portfolios. This has given their work extra meaning and encouraged them to take pride in their effort and creativity.\r\n\r\nThrough this project, students are not only learning how to use classroom supplies effectively, but they are also building essential life skills like teamwork, communication, organization, and creative problem-solving. Your support has helped foster a classroom environment where students feel confident expressing ideas and working together toward a common goal.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our students and giving them the tools they need to grow as learners and teammates. One special moment was watching students excitedly work through a math game together, explaining their thinking and encouraging each other on as they solved problems.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our next steps include deepening our understanding of math concepts through interactive games and collaborative learning. Students will continue practicing skills, building confidence, and applying their learning in meaningful ways using these resources. You've helped create a classroom where students feel supported, engaged, and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our donors a peek into our classroom and for making such a lasting impact on my students' learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1757959560637,"projectUrl":"project/count-on-us-to-build-brighter-math-minds/9629925/","projectTitle":"Count on Us to Build Brighter Math Minds!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Brown","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9222455_orig.jpg?crop=1288,1288,x0,y317&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695349375886","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9222455"},{"teacherId":9297660,"projectId":9796309,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity. Since we have received the math manipulative, students have been energized to use them. Students are active and engaged in leaning new math concepts. They aren't just sitting at desks, but moving around the room and sharing thinking as they look at how other students used this resource. They are excited to get their hands on the manipulatives and share their ideas about how to solve problems or to justify why they think something won't work. Every time we pull out the manipulative, I see my students perk up, excited to dive into the next challenge!\r\n\r\nWe have been studying fractions and decimals since we received our manipulatives. These are difficult concepts to work with requiring a high degree of number sense, organization to use multiple steps, and abstract thinking. My students have actively wrestled with these new ideas. Bridging what they knew about work with whole numbers and figuring out how it works with decimals and fractions. Students have figured out how to divide decimals and build a foundational understanding of why they get a decimal answer or they might have a whole number. \r\n\r\nThank you so much! This has made a world of difference for my students and I know this is just the beginning. Your generosity has touched so many students and helped them to build confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1760831485529,"projectUrl":"project/making-math-make-sense-with-manipulative/9796309/","projectTitle":"Making Math Make Sense With Manipulatives","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. M Kaminski","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9297660"},{"teacherId":10074095,"projectId":9549389,"letterContent":"I cannot begin to tell you how grateful we are for your generosity. The addition of the snap circuit kits and coding robots to our classroom has had a huge impact. I have watched my students collaborate, problem solve, and get hands-on with technology in ways that they wouldn't be able to do without these new tools.\r\n\r\nOur students spend a lot of time on screens. They are definitely familiar with and surrounded by technology. But the technology that they see day-to-day is very limited, very scripted, and very specific to the needs and wants of the school district. We are also limited in the time that we have for kids to really get hands-on and explore.\r\n\r\nThese new tools that were donated to our class allow my students to really engage with and explore science and technology. Coding is such a fantastic way to teach kids to problem solve. They write a code, they try to get it to work, and when it doesn't, they have to figure out why. The deep thinking, the conversations, and the persistence that the kids have to use when solving these problems and working through these codes with their robots is growing their brains in ways that our regular curriculum can't do. Same with the circuits. I love watching these kids puzzle through a circuit that's not working. It's one thing to read about it, we can even watch videos, but to do it with our own hands is so much more impactful.\r\n\r\nCurrently, we are using these materials a few times a week during our explore time. I am working on weaving them into our literacy blocks and our math blocks to really make sure that they are used to their fullest potential. \r\n\r\nI'm seeing these kids engage with each other and with technology in ways that they couldn't before. I am so thankful.","fullyFundedDate":1757959729179,"projectUrl":"project/coding-and-circuits-for-5th-graders/9549389/","projectTitle":"Coding and Circuits for 5th Graders!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dougherty","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10074095"},{"teacherId":9243928,"projectId":9807559,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the new math manipulatives, they were so excited.
