Your donations have added to our library and the benefits are numerous. The benefits of reading to children include helping them build language skills, learn about the world, and develop empathy and emotional awareness. Reading together also provides an opportunity for teachers and children to connect. Our little classroom is very unique, as we are a lab based preschool where high school students who are interested in education run the program under my guidance. Many of our students (preschool and high school) are English language learners - the idea of reading and practicing language has shown to be very beneficial for both groups of students.\r\n\r\nWatching our high school teachers become more confident in reading and storytelling is a great benefit that I did not even consider as an outcome of a class library for our preschool. \r\n\r\nYour generous donations will continue to bless our class fo rmany years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1741239630240,"projectUrl":"project/reading-building-a-love-for-reading-to/8982898/","projectTitle":"Reading - Building a Love for Reading Together!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ashwell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2335975_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y160&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720573729618","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-ashwell"},{"teacherId":2335975,"projectId":8489537,"letterContent":"I am amazed at your generosity. Adding more hands-on learning opportunities for our class is so wonderful for our preschoolers and our high school teachers. That's correct - we are a lab based preschool. Located in Potomac Falls High School, current high school students who have a passion for working with children have the opportunity to lean to teach and run an early childhood classroom. To watch the high school students get excited about our new materials and want to \"play\" with them right away shows the deep importance of hands-on opportunities.\r\n\r\nThe high school students develop lessons and teach our preschool students. They have full access to all the materials you have provided.
