We have used the materials multiple times already and they are unbelievably helpful! The students were so excited to see the materials arrive and couldn't wait to see what was in each package. \r\n\r\nThe trays have made labs run much more efficiently and allow for maximum student engagement during class since time is no longer taken up gathering each material for their group. The dry-erase markers have allowed students to each work with their own whiteboard to participate in group activities for review, exploration, and problem-solving. \r\n\r\nMy students have currently been learning about the periodic table and the atomic structure of elements. We have been working on projects and the storage cart has helped to keep everything organized and allow student's the independence to get materials as needed. We are going to continue working with the elements and are soon going to move on to learning about endothermic and exothermic reactions. \r\n\r\nThank you again so much for your generosity and donations to my classroom! From day 1 opening the packages, students prefer to use this type of technology even over their own phones. This has been a game changer allowing more students to experience cameras that have ability to record videos, take pictures and learn how camera technology works!\r\n\r\nMy students particularly change how they create with technology, and appreciate holding the cameras and feeling like they are \"photographers\" when taking pictures or video of their subjects. Students have shown autonomy in learning how to use the camera in manual mode, or differences in various features this camera allows them to play with. Students in general get excited about creating our stop motion, video stories and photography projects using the cameras. \r\n\r\nI have a few students that will likely continue to incorporate the video and photography skills they have learned in this class on the cameras in their future careers. One student in particular is telling other teachers how he wants to get a camera like this so he can record skateboarding and biking videos of his peers outside of class. \r\n\r\nI am grateful and excited to continue seeing the PMS Media Arts program grow and benefit from the cameras. My students are very appreciative of having these tools in our class.\r\n\r\nTHANK YOU SO MUCH!","fullyFundedDate":1733077623594,"projectUrl":"project/media-artists-need-access-to-cameras-in/8948985/","projectTitle":"Media Artists Need Access to Cameras in Middle School!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Leon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9840420_orig.jpg?crop=1303,1303,x1733,y470&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731805540041","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9840420"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_75624","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":749,"numTeachers":56,"percentFrplEligible":46,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":25,"percentWhite":43,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":17,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"13.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":72.9,"schoolId":75624,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Plymouth Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Plymouth Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/minnesota/robbinsdale-area-schools/plymouth-middle-school/75624"}
