For some of my students, these resources offered a brand-new way to engage in physical activity that felt fun rather than like \"exercise.\"\r\n\r\nWe've already been using the trampoline and balls during our social-emotional lessons. For example, students take turns bouncing on the trampoline while practicing self-regulation strategies, like taking deep breaths or counting their jumps to calm down. The balls have been incorporated into cooperative team-building games, helping students work together, communicate, and build trust. One memorable moment was when we had therapy group which is called emotion to motion and the students all had a ball even the ones who sometimes struggles because the kids that are better at sports were able to demonstrate it was a breakthrough in both confidence and connection.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, these tools have opened new pathways for movement, fun, and learning. The storage clipboard has been a huge hit, especially during small group work—students love being able to use it during break and being able to keep their materials with them while staying organized. \r\n\r\nOne of the biggest moments of excitement came when students discovered the rainbow scratch art paper. From the moment they opened the box, there was so much excitement in the room. For many of them, the first thing they noticed was the chance to choose a color that matched their style. Something as simple as picking out a color gave them a sense of ownership and pride, like it was truly theirs. They loved being able to wear their headphones not just as a tool for learning, but also as a little piece of self-expression. The comfort of the headphones was another highlight. A lot of students mentioned how good they felt on their heads and how different it was to have something new and just for them. You could see it written all over their faces how special this was.\r\n\r\nAs soon as they put them on, the questions started flying: \"Did someone buy these for us? Who gave them to us?\" Some even called out, \"Did Mr. Scott buy these for us?\" while others simply wanted to know who cared enough to do something so thoughtful. That moment right there showed just how meaningful your generosity really is. To these students, it wasn't just about receiving headphones—it was about feeling seen, welcomed, and supported by people they haven't even met. Your kindness reached them in such a real way, and the energy in the room was something I'll never forget.\r\n\r\nThe impact goes beyond the excitement of new headphones. These tools are already making a huge difference in their learning. With the voice-to-text feature, students who may have struggled with writing are now producing work that is not only longer, but richer in detail and expression. Some of the writing they are generating has amazed even the teachers, because it's giving them a way to share their ideas without the barrier of handwriting or spelling getting in the way. It's allowing their voices to truly come through. This is more than just an academic gain—it's a confidence boost. Students are beginning to see themselves as capable writers, thinkers, and communicators.\r\n\r\nWhat makes this so powerful is that the students know these gifts didn't just appear out of nowhere. They understand that there are generous people out there—people like you—who believe in them, even if you don't know them personally. That realization plants a seed. It tells them they are worthy, that their education matters, and that their community is bigger and kinder than they may have realized before. For some of our students, this may be one of the first times they have experienced such a direct act of generosity. That is something that will stay with them for a long time.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of the students and our school community, I want to thank you. Your donations are more than just items; they are experiences, opportunities, and reminders that our kids are supported. For some of my students who struggle with self-regulation, having calming fidgets, cushions, and tools at their fingertips has helped them refocus more quickly and confidently return to learning.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments so far has been watching a group project run smoothly simply because the organizational bins kept supplies in one place and accessible for everyone. Instead of spending extra time searching for materials, my students dove right into their work, collaborating more and feeling proud of their progress.\r\n\r\nThese resources are not just helping with daily routines—they're building independence. Students are learning to make choices about which sensory tools work best for them and how to stay organized during lessons. Our next steps include integrating these supports into reading and writing projects, where students will use their calm-down tools and organized materials to stay engaged and focused on completing longer assignments.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has created a more supportive, structured, and welcoming classroom environment. While many of our donors use technology at home, seeing it applied in a school setting highlights its unique educational value.\r\n\r\nThe new equipment—like the Lenovo Go Split keyboard, presentation clicker, and HDMI switch—helps students participate more actively in lessons, complete assignments efficiently, and collaborate on projects with ease. For example, students who struggle with traditional writing tasks can now use voice-to-text features on the keyboard, allowing them to express their ideas confidently and independently.\r\n\r\nWhat excites our students most is the hands-on, interactive nature of the technology. They love using the presentation clicker to share their work with classmates, adjusting multimedia presentations smoothly with the HDMI switch, and having organized supplies readily available in colorful bins. Even something as simple as the stress balls helps students focus and manage their energy, making the classroom a more productive and enjoyable space.\r\n\r\nCertain students, especially those who are shy, have learning differences, or need extra support with writing or attention, have especially warmed to this technology.
