In science, students recently used them during our \"Energy in Motion\" investigation, where they sketched the steps of an experiment and labeled their observations. In social studies, they used the pencils to create clean, detailed maps of early American settlements. One student even said, \"These new pencils make my maps look like a real historian made them!\"\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited. Many of them picked up the pencils right away and tested how smoothly they wrote. A few students said it felt like getting \"fresh school energy,\" and it truly motivated them to try their best on their work.\r\n\r\nNext steps for our class include building on these projects. In science, students will use their diagrams and notes to write short explanations about how energy travels and changes. In social studies, we'll continue working on our unit about early civilizations by using the pencils to label timelines and record important historical events.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our classroom—your generosity helps bring our lessons to life every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1758294652978,"projectUrl":"project/help-supply-pencils-for-our-6th-grade-cl/9550352/","projectTitle":"Help Supply Pencils for Our 6th Grade Classroom!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Kovacs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9588607"},{"teacherId":9588607,"projectId":9393993,"letterContent":"Our class has really enjoyed using the new pencils! Because of your donations, our school was able to acquire high-quality fitness equipment that has already made a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of both students and staff. Teachers have been incorporating the equipment into their wellness routines, and students are engaging in more active, healthy lifestyles as part of their physical education and school day. Your contributions have helped create a culture of health and fitness within our school community, and we are truly grateful.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the benefits of your generosity will continue to grow. As we transition into our new fitness center space next school year, this equipment will become an essential part of our athletic programs. We faced some delays due to COVID complications, but I'm happy to share that things are gradually returning to normal—and the birdcage has been a wonderful addition to our classroom!\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous donation, we now have two beautiful birds, Autumn and Blue, living in the amazing cage you helped us get. The students had the joy of naming them. Autumn is a bit shy and prefers to stay in his cage, while Blue is much more adventurous—he loves flying around the classroom and even lets the kids hold him! His favorite trick is landing on top of everyone's head, which the students absolutely love.\r\n\r\nI apologize for the delay in updating you, but we are incredibly grateful for your kindness and support.
