The children were so excited as the boxes began to arrive! The journals have been my favorite addition to our classroom schedule. We use them freely, as well as with specific writing prompts. It will be so nice to see how the children blossom through their drawings and writings as the school year continues.\r\n\r\nWe also enjoyed the water colors! We used them to paint our feelings as we listened to different genres of music (i.e. classical, jazz, hip hop). It was wonderful hearing the children describe how certain music makes us feel and what colors they associated with them (i.e. yellow = happy). I've noticed that students leave the library with a boost of positivity, which carries over into the rest of their school day.
