Thanks to the donate funds, we were able to purchase batteries to ensure every calculator was fully charged and ready to go during review sessions and on testing days. We were able to conduct EOC-style practice sessions and EOC exams successfully with students moving seamlessly through multi-step problems without interruptions or worries about calculator failures. This allowed them to focus their energy exactly where it needed to be; on problem-solving, strategy, and accuracy!\r\n\r\nWhen students first learned that all calculators were powered up and ready for the exams, there was an immediate sense of relief and reassurance. Testing anxiety was reduced. Students were confident that they wouldn't lose time or points due to a dead calculator. That peace of mind translated into stronger engagement during reviews and greater confidence as they practiced applying formulas and checking their work. \r\n\r\nBecause of our donors' generosity, our calculators are powered up and ready for continued targeted Spring EOC preparation, analyzing practice test data, and refining calculator-based skills such as graphing, modeling, and verifying solutions. We are now able to focus instruction on higher-level thinking and test strategies rather than logistical concerns. Your support helped remove a major barrier, empowering students to demonstrate their true abilities and reach their full potential on the EOC exams.","fullyFundedDate":1763479558589,"projectUrl":"project/full-power-full-potential-keep-calcula/9903772/","projectTitle":"Full Power, Full Potential: Keep Calculators Charged for the EOC!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Perry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9904459"},{"teacherId":9904459,"projectId":9902417,"letterContent":"The \"Cards of Cheer Campaign\" had a meaningful and lasting impact in our school and surrounding community. Using the blank cards and markers we were able to purchase with this grant, students created handmade cards to share appreciation and encouragement for Veterans Day, Principal Appreciation, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and simply to brighten someone's day. Students carefully choose their words for the intended recipients. They asked veterans thoughtful questions about service and expressed genuine gratitude through their artwork and messages. They wrote uplifting messages that brought cheer to nursing home and assisted living facility residents. They showed appreciation for staff in our very own building. These activities naturally connected writing, creativity, and character education in an authentic way.\r\n\r\nStudents were excited to have the opportunity to create something personal and meaningful. Many took great pride in decorating their cards and revising their messages to make sure their words were kind, respectful, and sincere. Students loved knowing their work would be shared beyond the classroom, and it gave them a sense of purpose and connection to others in the school and community.\r\n\r\nNext steps include continuing to integrate card-making into literacy and social-emotional learning lessons. Students continue to brainstorm ways to share words of encouragement during challenging times. They are already planning future cards for staff, classmates, and community members. Your generosity helped foster empathy, creativity, and a strong sense of kindness, empowering students to use their words to make a positive difference.","fullyFundedDate":1763429496680,"projectUrl":"project/cards-of-cheer-campaign/9902417/","projectTitle":"Cards of Cheer Campaign","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Perry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9904459"},{"teacherId":9904459,"projectId":9900923,"letterContent":"Your donation to \"Exam JAM Snacks to Help Kids Crush the EOC's!\" made an immediate and meaningful difference in our school. We used the snacks during focused review sessions leading up to the EOCs, turning what is usually a stressful time into one that felt supportive and energizing. As students worked through practice problems, small-group discussions, and quick checks for understanding, the snacks helped them stay engaged and focused. Sessions were held after school and students needed the extra boost to sustain them through the afternoon review blocks. Students were able to collaborate on a challenging sets of EOC-style questions, encourage one another and stay motivated instead of shutting down from fatigue.\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions said it all! The snacks brought out big smiles, excitement, and an instant boost in morale. Many shared appreciation for the additional support. They felt the support of not only the teachers, but community members like yourselves that were rooting for their success. That sense of encouragement carried into their work; students were more willing to ask questions, take academic risks, and push through difficult concepts because their basic needs were being met while learning.\r\n\r\nThanks to our donors, the next steps for our students did exceptionally well on the fall semester EOC exams! We will be continuing to analyzing data from recent assessments, and set additional goals for improvement. We are continuing to use structured review activities and collaborative learning strategies to build confidence and mastery. Your generosity didn't just provide snacks, it helped to support an environment where students felt motivated, valued, and ready to give their best effort as they prepared to crush their EOCs.","fullyFundedDate":1763423013800,"projectUrl":"project/exam-jam-snacks-to-help-kids-crush-the-e/9900923/","projectTitle":"Exam JAM Snacks to Help Kids Crush the EOC's!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Perry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9904459"},{"teacherId":9904459,"projectId":9731366,"letterContent":"Your generous donations helped to purchase fleece material used as part of a service-learning project that blends creativity, collaboration, and compassion. Students worked in small groups to measure, cut, and design hand-tied blankets or blankets with crocheted edges for children in need. Knowing that the blankets they created would go to kids in our community made the whole group noticeably more focused on their work. The blankets were created to be donated through our collaboration with Project Linus, giving students a real-world purpose for their efforts.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate. They were drawn to the bright colors and soft textures of the fleece and couldn't wait to get started. Many students ran their hands over the fabric and talked about which colors they thought the kids receiving them would like best. Knowing the blankets were for children in need added an emotional layer. Students felt proud and motivated, and several shared stories about times they had needed comfort themselves.\r\n\r\nNext, students will write short notes of encouragement to accompany the blankets. We are also connecting this project to lessons on empathy, community service, and following multi-step processes. Thanks to our donors, students are not only learning practical skills but also experiencing the power of giving back. Your generosity truly allowed them to see how their hands and hearts can make a difference beyond the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1762273703026,"projectUrl":"project/keeping-kids-cozy-a-partnership-with-pr/9731366/","projectTitle":"Keeping Kids Cozy: A Partnership with Project Linus","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Perry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9904459"},{"teacherId":5078118,"projectId":9173378,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for your contribution to my class.
