Students have been working hard on their first project to introduce themselves to all those to enter our classroom. Before the ability to print and laminate their art I was printing basic sheets and having them all fill out and color the basic sheets. Now, they have been able to create from their own minds using platforms like Canva, and then printing them out. It really has sparked a sense of creativity and a sense of belonging in our classroom. \r\nStudents have been able to see their work come alive and parents have even expressed the joy their student has in working on their very first project. We are so fortunate to be able to continue this throughout the year as we dive deeper into creating and students will have many opportunities to make more. \r\nI have one student in particular who struggles academically but LOVES being on technology so for them especially seeing their project in our classroom is very special because they don't often have other choices of academic work to hang up and show off to others!","fullyFundedDate":1756387030920,"projectUrl":"project/help-4th-graders-see-their-work-come-to/9484361/","projectTitle":"Help 4th Graders See Their Work Come to Life","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. DeMoss","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9103720_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1721160088089","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9103720"},{"teacherId":9734153,"projectId":9206474,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity. They have had such a positive impact on the learning and reading mindset! I can't begin to tell you how excited students were to have new books showcasing culturally relevant stories.\r\n\r\nAs we introduced our folk tale unit, I used different stories and books from different cultures as read-aloud during lunch. Students loved hearing tales from their country of origin and also loved hearing about the cultures they had little background knowledge about! I have several Ukrainian refugees in my classroom this year, and they were thrilled to have the bilingual books. They have been a wonderful learning tool as they learn a new language and country. \r\n\r\nAs we moved into students writing their own folktales, I had never had a group of students who created such wonderful stories. They could not only integrate a folk tale's structure and crucial elements but also included much more diverse characters and other elements in their writing. I know this would not have happened without these books as part of our classroom library and learning.","fullyFundedDate":1726254445491,"projectUrl":"project/folk-tales-from-every-corner-of-the-glob/8487087/","projectTitle":"Folk Tales from Every Corner of the Globe","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Plata","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5548991_orig.png?crop=576,576,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754290723271","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5548991"},{"teacherId":5548991,"projectId":8485581,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all the snacks and food that have been served and shared with students this year.
