They will get to use these books in their book bins for independent and partner reading to read over and over again! The students were thrilled to learn we are going to be using the materials donated to learn how a flower grows by learning the steps to grow the flower and provided what it needs to grow. We first started to use them with an adults guidance to learn how to take care of the materials, what the expectations were and how to carry out the activity. They were so eager to get started using the magnatiles.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the magnatiles as a small group center for students to work with peers to build creations. They children were so excited to help open the boxes when they arrived!\r\n\r\nThe model magic provided an amazing opportunity for the children to use fine motor skill to roll, smash, mold and create their masterpieces. They children reviewed math skills by discussing the names of shapes and attributes of the shapes. Some were even comparing shapes and combining shapes to build new shapes, which was all part of the math curriculum this year. \r\n\r\nThey were using their art skills to create their own designs. The children were practicing social skills and speaking skills all while having fun! \r\nThank you again for your support.
