Your gift has truly transformed our mornings. The students are now excited to come in each day, eager to dive into creative and engaging challenges before the first bell even rings. It's been such a joy to see them collaborating, problem-solving, and thinking critically in such a fun and meaningful way.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your donation goes beyond just morning work. The students enjoy the activities so much that they've started asking if they can use them during our \"Fun Friday\" free time! It's clear that these resources have sparked a real love for STEM and hands-on learning, and I couldn't be more grateful. Your support has made a meaningful difference in our daily learning experiences. We have utilized the light table as well as the manipulatives to enhance numerous learning concepts. I want to share with you that students were extremely excited the first day that we introduced the light table into our classroom. The first activity that we completed was sorting letters versus numbers. We completed this activity whole group and students came back to the light table and completed it during their free choice center time. Another fun activity that we did was having students gather around the light table and choose a translucent uppercase letter. Students were asked to study the letter and then sort the letter based upon whether it had curved lines or straight lines. Thanks to your kindness my students are more engaged in learning activities and lighting up learning.\r\n\r\nWarm Regards,\r\n\r\nFelicia Jenkins","fullyFundedDate":1738250481830,"projectUrl":"project/help-pre-k-kiddos-light-up-learning/8817336/","projectTitle":"Help Pre-k Kiddos Light Up Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jenkins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9776192_orig.jpg?crop=142,142,x0,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729006913688","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9776192"},{"teacherId":9833848,"projectId":8939700,"letterContent":"I want to begin by restating how much I appreciate your help and support within our classroom. As a classroom teacher, I could not do the hard work without humans like you donating your time, love, and money. Public education is nothing without, you, the public. So thank you for your belief in what I do and your belief in my students' greatness.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when the boxes arrived. It was like Christmas morning. When they saw the new whiteboards, boards without peeling laminate and dark spots that made writing difficult, they were giddy with excitement. The new markers and erasers were the frosting on the cake as the students did not have to coax their pen to write or use their sleeves to clean off the board. (They had old socks that they used, but they preferred using their clothes).\r\n\r\nNow that we have the boards, they are excited to work on the phonics skill of the day. After writing the word on their boards they can merely hold up the board to show their work. It has made the work faster, which means the students can do more in less time. The new boards are big enough to write complete sentences, and that is one of their favorite activities. \r\n\r\nAll the grade levels across the school have been enriched by your kindness and generosity. Thanks to your generosity, we have a sensory bin for students to enjoy as well as new sensory items for them to play with.\r\n\r\nOur new sensory bin is a fantastic addition to our classroom. Our students love to play there during our classroom center time. One of the things that I enjoy as a teacher is making sensory experiences for our students to enjoy. I create special sensory bins for Halloween and Christmas. In the new year, I will change the sensory bin to include homemade snow for the kids to play with and enjoy. Because the bin has a plug, I will fill it with water and sea creatures when we study our marine science unit.\r\n\r\nThe sensory materials that came with the bin have also been used in the bin and in smaller containers in our classroom for students to enjoy. Many of our students still need the \"messy play\" stage in development to understand how things work. These materials, along with the bin, have provided that experience for these children. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.","fullyFundedDate":1726993747872,"projectUrl":"project/whats-that-exlporing-our-world-through/8753442/","projectTitle":"What's That?
