As soon as we received the microscope we started looking at slides. They were so excited to see everything.\r\nWhat really hit home was during a lesson on water on Earth. Students were discussing how water is safe to drink if it 'looks' clear. We collected water from near the playground, which looked rather clear, but were amazed and slightly disgusted when they saw all the microscopic organisms swimming around in the water. It was perfect timing. we've only just begun to use it. we're starting in to insects soon, so we'll look more closely at many things. The materials you helped provide have become a part of our classroom every single day. My students use the wobble stools constantly, and while they were a little clumsy with them at first, they quickly learned how to balance and use them while working. The stools have been especially helpful for students who need to move and wiggle while they learn, allowing them to stay focused while still getting the movement they need.\r\n\r\nThe Sharpies have also been a huge hit in our classroom. My students love any opportunity to be creative, and having quality markers available has allowed them to color, draw, and add artistic touches to their projects and notes. The anchor chart paper has been incredibly useful for our lessons and classroom activities as well. On one particularly rainy recess day, the paper even turned into a giant paper airplane, which quickly became a memorable moment for my class!\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students have been able to wiggle, wobble, create, and express themselves in new ways while learning. These resources are used constantly and have helped make our classroom an even more engaging and joyful place to learn. We had some bumps in the road with a couple delayed deliveries, but we finally have our clams and are enjoying them in the classroom.\r\nSo many of my students asked the same questions, \"Are those real?\" they've never had the opportunity to see a live clam, and now they can see them every day. What's amazing to them is that they react to shadow. So, if a student wave's a hand under the lights, they react by closing a little and then reopening. They got to learn how that is a response to possible predator that may want to eat them.\r\nFeeding has been fascinating for them. We're dosing live phytoplankton almost every day, and they learned that not only do some clams feed from filtering the water but also photosynthesize. \r\nThe learning still hasn't stopped and it's all because of your help.
